Manifesto

Independence:

We are a collective of independent professionals, without party affiliations, whose aim is to create a sustainable media project. Our editorial content and ethics are not influenced or determined by funders or donors.

From below:

In our creative and research processes we include historical perspectives concerning the global South, Southern Italy and the Mediterranean while taking into account the colonial heritage of Italy and Europe.

New narratives and solutions:

We narrate crucial contemporary issues from a constructive perspective, giving space to marginalised voices to offer inspiration and new perspectives from this region of the world.

Collaboration:

For us, media work is a horizontal space based on collaboration, mutual help, networking and sharing of opportunities and experiences.

Build together:

We collaborate with communities to design projects focused on real needs and local issues.

Anti-discrimination:

We do not accept any kind of discrimination based on race, colour, ethnicity, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion or place of origin.

Methodology:

We produce cross-media content, organise events and create spaces for aggregation that are geared towards constructive debate and have an impact on the communities concerned.

Training and sharing:

We create opportunities for all to learn and acquire new knowledge and skills relevant to their field of expertise.
