MAREA MEDIA is an independent organisation working in journalism, media education and community storytelling.

We were born in Naples, motivated by the common desire to challenge the distorted narratives on Southern Italy and the Mediterranean.

We are a community of professionals who investigate, narrate, photograph, create content and organise workshops adopting a people-centred and solutions-oriented approach.

We develop projects that explore social change, access to knowledge and collective imaginaries, with a strong focus on Southern Europe and the Global Mediterranean.
